The conducting metal on ignition coils are prone to rusting due to the metal components required for the production of a spark. The rusting can lead to the connection with the flywheel failing, resulting in a loss of spark. This is the part you will need to replace if this happens.

Fitting new ignition coil

The engine failed to start, after fitting the new ignition coil the engine started at first try.
