Generator Guru says:
When purchasing this part, we recommend you also replace the Internal Fuel Filter and Tank Seal. Over time the Tank Seal degrades and may allow a leak to develop as it will get disturbed when changing the Fuel Tap Petcock. In the case of the Fuel Filter, this should be replaced to ensure the fuel to your engine is free of dirt and other particles from the Fuel Tank. These particles can cause damage to the Injector, and worse, a catastrophic failure in your engine.
