This part can wear for a few reasons:
- Fuel Flowing past the needle at high speed and at pressure, which eventually wears the needle.
- The locating grooves on the needle wears out.
- As the needle moves up and down it can bend and the spring can wear.
This can cause problems such as your carb flooding, leaking fuel from the carb bowl, or the engine running incorrectly.
