Replacement Carb Carburetor for High Altitude use (over 2000 ft/600m) . Designed to give a tight fit and provide stable performance. Aluminum casing for long life.

**We also strongly suggest you replace the Carb Gaskets when replacing the carb. If the previous gaskets are worn or split they will not make a seal, allowing excess air into the fuel mix, resulting in difficulty to start and run your engine. A broken gasket seal can cause hours of excess work.**

Generator Guru says:

You will require a high altitude carb to run your unit between 2000 and 5000 feet/600 and 1524 meters or more above sea level due to the thin air changing the fuel-air mixture at these altitudes.

Modern fuel has ethanol added. Ethanol is a cleaning agent used to "fill out" fuel and to reduce harmful emissions. The concentration of ethanol added to fuel can damage your carb if left for any length of time. Usually leaving a slimy residue in the bottom of the carb bowl, damaging seals and clogging the workings within the carb, preventing it from mixing the air and fuel correctly.

This is also a part that wears with use, and usually is replaced after 3000-3500 hours. If you are replacing before this time, it could be because, either contaminated fuel has been used or the Generator was stored for a long period with fuel in the system and the ethanol has degraded the carb.

We also suggest you purchase a new Fuel Tank Strainer and inline Fuel Filter when replacing this product.
