Replacement AGM Battery
AGM (Gel) batteries are a maintenance free alternative to traditional lead-acid batteries. They are designed to:
1) provide more powerful bursts of starting amps.
2) charge more quickly.
3) be safer during transport, charging and operation.
4) hold their charges for prolonged time.
5) factory activated. Charged and ready to use.
If the battery has blown we also suggest you test the charging voltage!!
You should get 12.5 to 13.5 volts DC with the generator running. Please test with a multi-meter, set to a low range VDC, and test across the Battery Charging Rectifier (single) output cable to the engine casing. Any voltage outside this range will also damage your replacement battery.
- If you get a lower voltage you will also require a new Battery Charging Rectifier. A blown Battery Charging Rectifier can also ruin your battery, so it may have blown first resulting in a damaged battery.

If you charge your battery with a Car Battery Charger, always use a trickle charge for small batteries such as this one. They do not like the high amps given on a fast charge and can damage the battery.
The Original battery is no longer produced due to advances in Battery Technology and manufacturing changes. This new AGM battery supersedes the original, and is the closest compatible battery on the market. There may be a slightly different sizing or design layout. We have tested and guarantee it will fit and is suitable for your Generator and charging system.
