Description

See our "How to" video below

Service Kit includes:

  • Spark Plug - We always supply the manufacturers suggested spark plug for best performance.
  • Fuel Filter - Inline fuel filter. If you do not already have one fitted, cut your fuel line in half and insert this fuel filter in the middle. This makes it easy to see the purity of the fuel, preventing dirty fuel or rust from condensation in metal fuel tanks being pulled into the carb and engine causing damage.
  • Air Filter- Quality Air Filter designed for your generator to maximise fuel consumption and particle barrier.
Generator Guru says: Your generator turns at 3000/3600 rpm. This high speed means your generator will need to be maintained to the highest standard. Almost all the generators we have fixed over the years have come in as the generator was not maintained properly.

Rust in the fuel clogging the fuel system and seizing the engine, clogged up air filters forcing dirty air into the cylinder, and oil that is dirty or over 6 months old causing excess strain on the engine wearing gears and piston rings. These are the causes of expensive repairs.

Service your Generator every 6 months or 150 hours. 150 hours may seem to often but to put it in car terms if you drive at 3000 rpm in top gear (60-80 m/h or 100-120km/h) you would have done an average of 10,500 miles or 16,500 km.

If you run your Generator regularly for business, be sure to work out a service schedule. Keeping to it could save you money from lost trading days.

Please Note: We can no longer provide Engine Oil with our Service Kits due to shipping restrictions, please see the oil product listing (on the model's parts page) to see the oil specification and quantity for your engine.

    Generator tuneup kit

Posted by Mike F on 6th Dec 2019

I haven't installed the kit yet, so I can't say anything about that, but it's a spark plug and two filters.... I can't imagine much going wrong at this point.

But I wanted to write a quick review on the stellar customer service I received. I'm in the USA and the parts were packed in a box as you'd expect, and the USPS apparently left it in the rain, drove over it, fed it to feral wolves, swept the leftovers back together, put them in a zip lock bag and delivered them to me. All that made it to my house was a plastic baggy with the air filter, some soggy scraps of paper (it hadn't rained in days), and the business cards from Generator Guru.

So I emailed customer service and sent a few pics and they IMMEDIATELY and with no questions asked sent replacement parts. Great service, I'm very happy with them.
