These leads connect to the 12v dc terminals on the generator control panel for charging external batteries and running other 12v dc equipment which uses the clamp style connection.
The charge rate will be 12v dc at 8amps. This comes from a separate 12v charging circuit in your alternator. This is the same circuit which is used on electric start versions to charge the onboard battery.
Using the 12v dc circuit will not impact main voltage output, so you can charge batteries while running your equipment.
