Description
Replacement Starter Motor to Solenoid Wire.
Generator Guru says:
Before purchasing this item we suggest you also check other parts of the starter motor as well. Its easy to check if the Starter Motor Solenoid is working correctly, by attaching a 9v or 12v dc battery to it. If the starter motor solenoid does not move, you will need to replace the Solenoid too.
If you are replacing the Starter Motor's Solenoid as well as this Wire, then we also suggest you test the "Battery Charging Rectifier" for faults before replacing anything. Often the surge that damages these items comes from a faulty "Battery Charging Rectifier." When Testing with a multi-meter, you should get 13v DC to the battery when the generator is running. If you are getting a higher reading (or no reading at all), then the battery charging rectifier also needs replacing, before it damages your battery too!
