Description
Replacement solenoid for fitting on the bottom of the Carb Carburettor.
Generator Guru says:
This anti-afterfire solenoid cuts the fuel supply in the case of Low Oil Shutdown. These solenoids can seize due to inactivity and suffer wear from fuel flow in the same way as other carburetor parts.
To test that the solenoid functions, apply a 9v or 12V battery to the connectors then the solenoid should protrude to block the main jet, if this does not work, then the fuel will not be cut off when the engine needs to shut down due to low oil, which can result in extensive damage to the engine.
If your generator will not start or remain running, more likely... The oil sensor CDI is at fault or there is a blockage in your Carb. Please contact our Engineering Support team for more info on locating the fault.
