This part protects your carb from the heat of your engine and prevents unwanted ignition of fuel caused by heat. Be sure this part is in good condition and that the gaskets create a firm seal, or the fuel efficiency of your generator will be compromised, and may present a fire hazard. Gaskets are available under the product "Gasket kit" if required.

Bad Connection

The reason I had to buy a new insulator was because the glue used to hold the hose connection on the old one was no good. It got soft and drained down into the carb causing the gas to overflow like a lick. New one much better and works great!
